When you volunteer, you join a group that is an integral part of the Evergreen Hospital family. We can match your skills, interests and availability with volunteer positions in areas such as:

• Behind-the-scenes office support
• Fundraising efforts
• The gift shop
• Patient care units
• Hospice volunteers

Comprehensive orientation and training is provided.

Volunteer Programs

Evergreen offers several opportunities for potential volunteers:

Hospital-based Volunteers provide behind-the-scenes support for hospital departments, the information desks, the emergency department and other volunteer positions. 

Hospice and Palliative Care Volunteers support patients in their homes or at the hospice center with compassionate presence, companionship and practical assistance.

Patient Family Advisors  create a partnership with hospital staff that may involve shaping policies and programs, collaborating to improve services, and/or fostering an environment in which patients and families have a voice in the way our services are delivered.

Evergreen Auxiliary a dedicated group of volunteers supporting Evergreen patients and programs with vendor sales, arts and crafts fairs and various events.
