Evergreen Healthcare welcomes new Chief Nursing Officer

On January 31, Evergreen Healthcare welcomed its new Chief Nursing Officer, Nancee R. Hofmeister, MSN, RN, NE-BC to the Evergreen staff.  As chief nursing officer, Ms. Hofmeister is directly responsible for the planning, coordination and direction of nursing care and nursing practice at Evergreen.

Ms. Hofmeister joins Evergreen Healthcare from Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. For the past 10 years at Bronson, she held key nursing positions leading Bronson’s implementation of an organization-wide computer system for clinical documentation, reporting, and the benefits and revenue cycle.  Under her leadership as director of nursing/professional practice, Bronson achieved employee engagement results significantly higher than organizational and national means, developed and implemented adult palliative care services and a closed-loop bar medication system as well as an innovative bedside volunteer program for the adult medical unit. Ms. Hofmeister is a registered nurse and holds a master of science in nursing and is also a board-certified nurse executive.
