Evergreen Welcomes Dr. Daniel Burdick to the Booth Gardner Parkinson’s Care Center

Kirkland, Wash. – Evergreen Healthcare today announced it welcomes Dr. Daniel J. Burdick, a Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders specialist, to the expert clinical staff at Evergreen’s award-winning Booth Gardner Parkinson’s Care Center.

Dr. Burdick is currently a practicing movement disorders fellow at the University of Washington Medical Center and the Veterans Administration Puget Sound Health Care System. He previously served as Chief Resident of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School, where he also completed his residency in general neurology.

He received his doctorate in medicine from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his specialized training in movement disorders from the University of Washington.

Dr. Burdick has published articles in several peer-reviewed academic journals including the Journal for Gerontology: Medical Sciences, Experimental Hematology and Issues in Political Economy. He has presented papers and studies on neurology and aging at many regional medical conferences and most recently led a continuing medical education lecture series at UW Medical Center on deep brain stimulation for Parkinson Disease and other movement disorders.

Dr. Burdick is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Movement Disorders Society.

The Booth Gardner Parkinson’s Care Center at Evergreen treats patients with Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders. It is a National Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence and a part of Evergreen’s Neuroscience Institute, which was recently given a Five-Star Rating and ranked as the number two hospital in Neurosciences for 2012 in Washington state by HealthGrades.
