HealthGrades, the nation's leading provider of independent hospital ratings, has named Evergreen Hospital a Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence for 2010.
This is the second straight year that Evergreen has been recognized with the Distinguished Hospital Award - the only hospital in King County, and one of only two hospitals in Washington state, to receive this distinction for 2010.
HealthGrades ranks Evergreen Hospital among the nation's top five percent of hospitals, according to its independent study of mortality and complication rates. Nearly 5,000 hospitals were included in the study.
Evergreen has also earned the 2010/2011 Maternity Care Excellence Award, which recognized the Family Maternity Center's ranking among the Top 5% of hospitals in the nation for maternity care.
