Evergreen's Medical Staff Library is open to members of the medical and hospital staff around the clock. In conjunction with the medical staff lounge, the facility offers a quiet, comfortable place for research, relaxation and collegial conversation.

The Library provides three computers for online research, with several major medical databases available on Evergreen's intranet, including:

Full-text Journals

Ovid MEDLINE with 288 full-text journals in Medicine, Nursing, etc.

MD Consult

MD Consult is an integrated, continuously updated online medical information service that includes an extensive collection of medical books, journals, drug information, patient education materials, online CME and personalized daily medical updates.

Net Library

Electronic medical textbooks; browse by subject, keyword. Read, print or save content.

Micromedex

Drug Information for professionals and care notes for Patients

Journals and Textbooks

The Library also holds about 60 journal titles for a period of five years - longer for orthopedic surgery and nursing titles. 320 core textbooks cover the specialties represented by the medical staff.

Research Assistance

Librarian Michelle Goodwin, MLIS, is available to assist medical and hospital staff with literature and database searches, or to obtain interlibrary loans of articles and books. Requested items will be placed on the library hold shelf for pick-up.
