More people are surviving cancer than ever before.

Research, through clinical trials, has enabled us to:

• Diagnose cancer with more precision
• Advance radiation and surgical techniques
• Develop more successful medications are more successful
• Discover combinations of medical, surgical and radiation therapy that are improving our effectiveness and enhancing results

Research advances on how to prevent, recognize, treat and eradicate cancer are occurring everyday. Thanks to research, the next patients at risk for cancer have a greater chance of prevention, and those diagnosed with cancer have a better outlook for cure.

At Evergreen, the Cascade Cancer Center offers patients access to clinical trials through:

• The Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG)
• The Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP)
• Industry initiated trials
