Support Groups

Evergreen offers a variety of support groups to provide opportunity in meeting with others having experiences similar to your own. All support groups and classes are free and open to cancer patients, survivors, friends and family.

Evergreen Cancer Lifeline - Bosom Buddies Network

Group for:
Breast cancer patients and survivors

Meets:
Daytime group - 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month

Breast Friends at Evergreen 

Group for:
Breast cancer patients and survivors.  Meeting in a confidential, welcoming sanctuary, this peer-led group offers knowledge and information from personal experiences.

Evergreen Cancer Lifeline - Living with Cancer

Group for:
Patients and survivors, with any type of cancer diagnosis, their family members and friends. The group will provide professional education and support to particpants living with cancer.

Evergreen Cancer Lifeline - Reclaiming Your Life

Group for:
Six session workshop for survivors who are at least three months out from completion of treatment for any type of cancer. The cancer experience can be life changing and results in shifts in your priorities. If you are wondering where to go for support in navigating these changes ,this group is for you. Registration and an intake interview are necessary.

Evergreen Cancer Lifeline - Oral, Head and Neck Network 

Group for:
Oral, Head and Neck Cancer patients, survivors, their caregivers, family or friends.   This meeting will provide open discussions, presentations and mutual support. A SPOHNC chapter affiliate.

Evergreen Cancer Lifeline - Lymphoma Networking Group

Group for:
Patients and survivors with a lymphoma diagnosis, their family and friends.  Meetings to focus on educational presentations, group discussions and mutual support.  Offered in partnership with the Seattle Chapter Lymphoma Research Foundation.

1st Wednesday every other month (June 1, Aug. 3, Oct. 5, Dec. 7, 2011

American Cancer Society's Look Good, Feel Better 

Group for:
Women with cancer who are dealing with hair loss from treatment. Class provides help with skin care, cosmetics, wigs and headwraps. Receive a free Cosmetic sample kit.

Meets:
Offered at Evergreen Hospital in June, August, October and December 2011
