Test: Abdomen - Renal Stone (without IV contrast)

Prep: Nothing by mouth for 4 hours prior to the exam, except for 16oz of water 1 hour prior to the exam.


Test: Abdomen (with IV contrast)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam. Patients may take any necessary medications in the morning with small sips of water.


Test: Abdomen (without IV contrast)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam. Patients may take any necessary medications in the morning with small sips of water.


Test: Abdomen (with and without contrast)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam. Patients may take any necessary medications in the morning with small sips of water.


Test: Bone Biopsy (CT guided)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 8 hours prior to the exam. Patients may take their usual morning medications with small sips of water. Patient also needs Pt and PTT within last 2 weeks of exam.


Test: Calcium Scoring

Prep: None


Test: Cardiac

Prep: Patient will be called by one of our nurses to go over preparation regarding eating, drinking and medications. Nothing by mouth 4 hours before the exam, and no caffeine 12 hours before the exam.


Test: Carotid / Angio

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam. Patients may take any necessary medications in the morning with small sips of water.


Test: Cervical Spine (C-spine)

Prep: None


Test: Chest to Lung Bases (with contrast)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam. Patients may take any necessary medications in the morning with small sips of water.


Test: Chest Angio

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam. Patients may take any necessary medications in the morning with small sips of water.


Test: Chest (with high resolution, without contrast)

Prep: None


Test: Cystogram

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam


Test: Extremities

Prep: None


Test: Facial Bones - Jaw (without contrast)

Prep: None

Children (birth to 4 months): Hold feeding until just prior to appointment time. Parent should bring something to soothe the child (i.e. blanket, etc.)


Test: Head (with contrast)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam. Patients may take any necessary medications in the morning with small sips of water.


Test: Head (without contrast)

Prep: None

Test: Instatrak - Sinus

Prep: None


Test: IVP (CT)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam. Patients may take any necessary medications in the morning with small sips of water.


Test: Kidney Biopsy (CT-guided)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 8 hours prior to the exam


Test: Lumbar Spine

Prep: None


Test: Lung Biopsy (CT-guided)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 8 hours prior to the exam


Test: Neck - Soft Tissue (with IV contrast)

Prep: Nothing to eat or drink 4 hours prior to the exam; patient may take their medications.


Test: Needle Aspiration

Prep: Nothing by mouth 8 hours prior to the exam


Test: Pancreas Biospy (CT-guided)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 8 hours prior to the exam


Test: Pelvic Biopsy (CT-guided)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 8 hours prior to the exam


Test: Pelvimetry

Prep: None


Test: Pelvis (with IV contrast)

Prep: Nothing to eat or drink 4 hours prior to the exam; patient may take their medications.


Test: Pelvis (without IV contrast)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 4 hours prior to the exam


Test: Retroperitoneal Biopsy (CT-guided)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 8 hours prior to the exam


Test: RFA of the Lung (Radio Frequency Abliation)

Prep: Nothing by mouth 8 hours prior to the procedure time; patient may take their medications.


Test: Sinuses

Prep: None


Test: Thoracic Spine (T-spine)

Prep: None
