Hop to Signaroo® with Nancy Hanauer

Babies and toddlers do have the desire and capacity to communicate before they have the ability to speak fluently.  Hearing families can use American Sign Language as a means of temporary communication with babies as young as five months old!  Signing stimulates intellectual growth, accelerates language and motor development, and reduces frustration.  A fun, hands-on class covering nearly 100 signs and techniques for signing success.  Details at www.hoptosignaroo.com.   Course fee allows for one or both parents of the same baby, or one parent and one grandparent. $128

Parent-Baby Classes

Since 1991, these popular classes have brought families together to learn about parenting and celebrate babies. Weekly classes include research-based parenting topics and time for questions and answers. Topics include sleep, feeding, couple relationships, postpartum adjustment, calming and soothing tips, infant development and more. Classes are facilitated by trained parenting and lactation educators. Guest speakers feature subjects ranging from postpartum exercise and fitness to the importance of playing and learning.

Bring your baby and come to a class as soon as you can. The 0-3 month Snugglers series is free - our gift to new families.

Toddler Series

This 4-week evening parenting series, taught by Parent-Baby class instructors, will cover toddler development from 15 months to three years old. Weekly topics: Development, Potty Training, Family Nutrition and Feeding the Growing Toddler, Discipline and Self-Esteem. $80/one or both parents.

Emotional care, information and resources for new families experiencing postpartum distress such as deep sadness, frequent crying, worrisome thoughts, feeling out of control or hopeless.  Meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Free.
