Our beautiful Cape Cod-style facility was designed to be as home-like as possible, consistent with safety, security and excellent medical care. It is the only freestanding hospice center in King and Snohomish counties.
The center's 15 private patient rooms each include:
Families and friends can visit at any time, and children are very welcome.
The comfortable family rooms located throughout the Center are furnished with sofas, chairs and entertainment centers. The main family room has a children's corner that gives little ones a place to play.
The gardens surrounding the center include a lush courtyard with a waterfall, a children's play area and walking paths through the rose and alpine gardens.
Each wing also features a full kitchen, where families can cook special meals and snacks.
Free wi-fi Internet access is available throughout the hospice center. The wireless network will work with any 802.11b compatible network card running any wi-fi capable operating system. This includes Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac, Linux.
The Center is named for Gene and Irene Wockner, whose initial support provided the resources needed to research and plan for the Center. The Wockner family's generosity continues to provide for Evergreen Hospice Services.
