MS Education Programs

Pre-registration is required for the following programs. Unless otherwise noted, please call the Evergreen Healthline at 425.899.3000, Mon.-Fri., 7 a.m.-7 p.m. to register. Checks, VISA and MasterCard are accepted. Refunds and rescheduling will only be given for cancellations two business days prior to the class. Let us know if you need special accommodations to participate.

MS & Relationships Workshop

This half-day workshop is designed for all those living with MS - couples, invidividuals, family members and care partners. The workshop will use presentations, exercises, reflection and group sharing to help put MS in its proper place so it does not dominate life.  Flyer with detailed program information

Communication Group

Improve your communication skills in a relaxed, welcoming environment with others who have communication difficulty from stroke, Parkinson's or other neurological changes. Facilitated by an Evergreen speech/hearing pathologist.  $5.

Therapeutic Yoga for MS

Build confidence, resilience and stability through this therapeutically designed class specific for people living with MS. Increase you flexibility and calm your nervous system with this safe and compassionate program. Our therapeutic teacher team's extensive adaptive yoga training and experience will facilitate your understanding of how to restore, renew and regenerate your energy. Class is accessible for all levels and capacity.

Six-week sessions, $30.  Dates and online registration


Therapeutic Yoga Workshop for MS

Whether you are a new or returning student, this workshop will refine your proprioception and help you cultivate a healing relationship with your body. The workshop is facilitated by a highly skilled yoga therapist who creates a safe and compassionate environment for you to explore health, renew your energy and affirm your wholeness. Class is accessible for all levels and capacity, no previous yoga experience necessary. This class can be taken independently or in conjunction with our on-going Yoga for MS classes offered at Evergreen.

2.5 hour session, $20.  Dates and online registration


Neurological Exercise Group

Gentle stretch and strength exercises done in a chair or standing. For patients affected by neurological disorders such as Parkinson's, stroke or multiple sclerosis.

Four-week sessions, $20.  Dates and online registration


From-the-Ground-Up Strength and Flexibility

Geared toward those with neurological challenges including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and post-stroke recovery. This mat-oriented class includes elements of yoga, tai chi, dumbbell exercise, exercise bands and more. Participants will be supplied with all of the necessary equipment including the exercise mat.

Men's Group: For those Affected by Neurological Conditions

Feeling like your world is a little out of control? Your body and brain are in a conspiracy not to work together and make your life miserable? Come join other men with neurological concerns to explore what is happening to our minds and bodies as we look for ways to cope and to thrive in spite of our limitations.

Group meets the second Tuesday of each month in the DeYoung Pavilion (adjacent to Evergreen Hospital), Rainier Room (2nd Floor).

Free.  No registration necessary.


MS Self-Help Group

Find comfort and strength with your peers as you learn, cope, laugh, and celebrate the challenges and successes of living with MS.. Self-Help Group members share a belief that positive personal change can happen through individual effort with the support of others. Groups sponsored by the Greater Northwest Chapter are facilitated by trained volunteers who are committed to helping others and have personal experience with MS.

Meets the third Thursdays of every month, 7-9 p.m. Evergreen Hospital, Tan 121. No registration necessary.
