This weekly mat-oriented class includes elements of yoga, tai chi, dumbbell exercise, exercise bands and more.
Participants will be supplied with all of the necessary equipment including the exercise mat.
Due to the nature of the class, all participants must be able to get down to their mat and back to their feet again independently or with the assistance of their own caregiver.
This class is for: people with neurological challenges, including MS, Parkinson's and post-stroke recovery

Improve your communication skills in a relaxed, welcoming environment - facilitated by an Evergreen Healthcare speech/language pathologist

Working with professional dancers specially trained in the Dance for PD method, you'll learn how to use thought, imagination, eyes, ears and touch to control movement.
Whether seated or standing, you will stretch and strengthen muscles, focusing on balance and rhythm as you learn elements of modern dance, ballet, tap, jazz and social dancing. you explore dance movements in a welcoming environment in which live music energizes, enriches and empowers. No dance experience necessary. Six-week sessions.
These classes are based on Dance for PD, a program developed by the Mark Morris Dance Group. Presented by the Booth Gardner Parkinson's Care Center at Evergreen Hospital, Seattle Theatre Group & Spectrum Dance Company, in association with the Mark Morris Dance Group.
