Renee King is the supervisor of Evergreen’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Services and earned her Master’s of Physical Therapy Degree from Loma Linda University. Renee has a passionate interest in neurological rehabilitation and has been the lead physical therapist on the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at Evergreen Hospital. Areas of professional interest include spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular accident, and traumatic brain injury.
Lori Asato obtained her Physical Therapy degree at California State University - Long Beach in 2002. She holds her PT license in both Washington and California and enjoys working in the inpatient setting with a focus on orthopedics. Her passion is providing patients with a strong foundation for their road to recovery.
Jan works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Evergreen Hospital. She received her Master’s degree in physical therapy from Stanford University. She has over 35 years’ experience in pediatric physical therapy, having specialized first in the treatment of cerebral palsy and then in the treatment of premature infants. She is certified as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Fiona Clauson earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington in 1990. She has worked at Evergreen Hospital for 20 years, primarily in inpatient acute care, but has also worked in the acute rehabilitation unit, outpatient orthopedics, and home care.
Aaliyah Cranston is a Licensed Physical Therapist who earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota. She has experience working in outpatient physical therapy with patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions, as well as in an acute care hospital setting. She specializes in pelvic floor women’s health physical therapy, including pregnancy and post-partum, incontinence, and pelvic pain. Aaliyah believes the key to meeting patients’ goals for physical therapy is patient empowerment through education and exercise.
Namrata Grampurohit is a licensed occupational therapist who earned her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy in India. Namrata’s clinical interest lies in providing occupational therapy in an acute care setting for orthopedic, neurologic and ICU care patients. She strongly believes that occupational therapists are empowered with the skill to enhance adaptation of person, task and environment in a holistic manner to be able to help persons with disabilities lead a meaningful life.
Emily Hansen is a speech-language pathologist who earned her Masters of Science in Speech and Communication Disorders from the University of Washington. She works with individuals with a variety of neurological conditions including Parkinson’s Disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and multiple sclerosis. Emily enjoys helping people who experience changes in their speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing.
Lisa Ireland is an outpatient speech therapist and the program lead for Neurological Services at Evergreen Hospital. Lisa has many years experience treating patients throughout their lifespan and developing programs for individuals with rehabilitation needs. Her present focus, serving adults with neurological disorders, encompasses deficits in speech, voice, vocal volume, language, cognition, memory as well as swallowing. Lisa holds certification from LSVT Loud (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment) and Voicewave Technology, manufacturer of the Speech Enhancer SGD. Lisa also performs modified barium swallow studies for patients from the region.
Kim Wilson Kidd is a speech-language pathologist who earned her Masters of Science in Speech and Communication Disorders. Swallowing disorders, neurological disorders and radiographic swallow studies are her areas of clinical interest. Kim enjoys developing a rapport with both the patient and their family member(s) to optimize their rehabilitation progress and/or understanding of current deficits.
Sumedha Kukreja is a licensed occupational therapist who graduated in 1990 from New Delhi, India and has been practicing occupational therapy for over 10 years. She has experience working with populations spanning from infants to geriatrics. She has worked in India, Germany and England before coming to work in the USA. Sumedha’s areas of expertise include geriatrics, orthopedic and neurological disorders.
Chris Lugibihl received his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota in 1999. His clinical practice has focused on the treatment of the geriatric population, primarily for neurological and orthopedic disorders. Before joining the Evergreen inpatient rehabilitation team, Chris was the director of rehabilitation at a nearby skilled nursing facility. His goal is to provide the highest quality of care while meeting and exceeding the expectations of our patients and family members.
Melissa Mamiya is a licensed speech-language pathologist who earned her Masters of Science degree from California State University, Northridge and completed her clinical fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. Melissa has worked extensively with both pediatric and adult populations, addressing communication, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders. Her current caseload is primarily focused on the feeding and developmental needs of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit population at Evergreen. Her clinical interests include the development of feeding and swallowing skills in neonates, language development in children, neurogenic speech, language and swallowing disorders, and speech and swallowing disorders exhibited by patients with head and neck cancers.
Joanna Morgan is a licensed Occupational Therapist who earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University in 2008. She has spent the majority of her career working in Manhattan in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit, but has also had experience working on an inpatient spine unit and in homecare. Joanna has a strong interest in geriatrics and stroke rehabilitation and has taken continuing education in NDT and other stroke rehabilitation courses.
Kristin Saluja is a licensed physical therapist who earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Midwestern University in 2008. Through her various affiliations and work experience, she gained knowledge in the management of lymphedema. Kristin has taken continuing education on lymphedema management of the upper and lower extremities and plans on receiving full certification through Guenter Klose in preparation for the LANA exam.
Alicia Nowak is a licensed physical therapist who earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Washington. She trained in neurological and geriatric rehabilitation with an interest in working with patients who have gait and balance impairments. At UW, she was involved in research that investigated the effects of dual task on walking performance in individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
Kathy Scott has been a speech/language pathologist for more than 30 years. She graduated from Washington State University and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as well as the Washington Speech and Hearing Association. Previous work settings include acute care, acute rehabilitation, home health, and sub-acute rehabilitation. Kathy’s clinical interests are in the areas of aphasia, apraxia, cognitive impairment, dysphagia, nonvocal communication and alaryngeal communication.
Jesika Shah is an occupational therapist who earned her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mumbai, India. She has nine years of prior experience treating patients in home health, skilled nursing facilities and outpatient clinics. Hand therapy and vision therapy are clinical interests for Jesika, and she holds NDT certification for stroke patients. Her caseload is currently focused on acute care at Evergreen Hospital. Jesika’s care philosophy is one of believing in the best care and satisfaction for the patient.
Marianna Shank has been working at Evergreen Hospital since 1992. She earned her Associate Degree in Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant at Green River Community College in Auburn, WA. With 18 years of experience, Marianna loves working on the inpatient units, especially the orthopedic unit and the Acute Rehabilitation Unit.
Susan Smith joined Evergreen in 2002. She earned a BA degree in dance from the State University of NY at Buffalo in 1984 and then a BS degree in physical therapy from Eastern Washington University in 1994. She worked for several years in an outpatient orthopedic setting which specialized in Pilates training for both exercise and rehab. At Evergreen, she splits her time between acute care and inpatient women’s health where she teaches bedrest exercise programs and addresses the individual orthopedic needs of the antepartum patients.
Dana Sturtz is a licensed physical therapist who earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan in 2007. She is an active member in the Acute Care Section of the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Dana evaluates and treats patients in all in-patient sections of the hospital including neurology, orthopedics, medical/surgical and cardiopulmonary floors, with an emphasis on family-centered care.
Libby Winkler is an occupational therapist who graduated in 2001 from Nova Southeastern University and has been practicing occupational therapy for the past 9 years. Libby’s areas of expertise include geriatrics, multiple sclerosis, stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological disorders.
Douglas Zimmerman is a physical therapy assistant who earned his Associate of Science in Physical Therapy at Miami Dade Community College. Douglas has been treating patients since the early 1990s in all types of healthcare settings. He currently works inpatient rehab at Evergreen Hospital.
