Physical therapists (PTs) diagnose and treat individuals with medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. They treat all ages, from newborns to the elderly.
PTs examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.
PTs are experts in how the body works. They spend the extra time you need to help improve your quality of life, from easing everyday aches and pains to treating more serious problems that prevent flexibility and movement.
Physical therapists also teach you how to take care of yourself, so you can prevent the pain from returning.
