Weight loss surgery is not a cure, but a tool ... and desired weight loss cannot be achieved without developing and following a nutritional plan.

That's why our surgeons emphasize the importance of having a one-on-one nutrition consult before surgery Our dietitians have researched and designed a program for educating bariatric patients in new ways of consuming and thinking about food.

After surgery, Evergreen offers a telephone follow up program as well as additional one-to-one appointments if desired. This will allow you to speak directly with the dietitian to discuss any challenges you may have and receive support as you move along on your journey to better health.

All patients who meet with the Evergreen dietician will receive an educational notebook to help guide you through the process of surgery and recovery.
