Evergreen's Lipid Management Clinic offers a focused, one-on-one approach to help people reduce their cholesterol and other risks for heart disease.
Our staff members all have advanced training in lipid management. Their team approach works with the patient to acheive measured improvements in their cholesterol, triclycerides, blood sugar levels and weight loss.
We emphasize a three-prong plan, that includes:
Diet
Our Registered Dietitian specializes in cardiac health and other diseases, such as diabetes. Through the use of food diaries and lifestyle analysis, the dietitian will design an individualized food plan to fit your circumstances. The focus is on what you can eat - not just what you can't eat.
You'll also learn more about the quality of the food you eat, so you can make wiser choices when eating out or buying groceries.
Medication Management
Our Registered Pharmacists and Doctors of Pharmacy do the "detective work" that is often necessary to see why particular medications aren't doing the job for a patient. Sometimes that means using a different dosage, or even a different medication. It might also mean adding a supplement to make the medication more effective.
Exercise
We will work with you to devise an excercise plan that will work in concert with your diet and medication to affect positive changes in your health.
